Visiting Someone in Sutter County Jail

Going to visit someone in jail can be overwhelming.  Especially hard if you don’t know where to go, when to go and how to follow the rules.   Below are important pieces of information to guide you if your loved one is in the Sutter County Jail.

Jail Visiting Location/Days/Hours

Sutter County’s Main Jail facility is located at 1077 Civic Center Boulevard, Yuba City, California. The facility has undergone several upgrades since originally constructed in 1977. A major kitchen renovation, a 148 bed minimum facility, and a 62 bed felony dorm addition were added to the original design. A 52 bed maximum security single-cell unit was completed in 1999. The inmates housed in the single cells are considered high risk inmates.

Visitation for inmates at the Sutter County jail is based on gender, housing, job and medical status so you will want to determine these factors before planning your visit. Also note that appointments or reservations are not taken in advance.  Come to the jail prior to visiting hours and sign up to see an inmate.
